Opened in November 1996, Kingston Links has acquired a reputation as a challenging, fair and enjoyable test for golfers of all standards. Still seen as one of the top 3 public access courses in Melbourne the greens and fairways are of a good standard and the course has a terrific, challenging layout with water coming into play on most of the front nine. The bunkers are well placed on the fairway, rewarding any straight drive, and any accurate shot into the greens. However there has been a deterioration of the course condition over the last 12 months partly I am sure due to the drought but also a lack of care with the greens and tee boxes and maybe just overuse. Disappointingly the Clubhouse facilities dont really stack up with a course of this stature with a lack of food and staff available the times I have visited. Kingston Links has a separate 44 bay undercover floodlit driving range which is open day and night.
