One the better Public Courses to play in Melbourne during the hot summer months, mostly due to the fact they have access to water whereas a lot of the others don’t. I played in Oct 08 and fairways were looking very lush as well as the greens holding due to them beign well watered and wet underfoot. My only real complaint from the round was the standard of the greens. They were extremely hairy and didn’t look like they had been mowed for some time meaning slow running putts. Not the longest course but has enough large mature trees guarding the fairways that will make you pay if you shot is off target.

The Glen Waverley golf course has a an outdoor area and barbecue that you can use if you want to stay around after your round and friendly enough pro shop staff and my favourite hole would have to be 332m 11th hole that is a gentle dog leg right with a lush fairway and a narrow unbunkered green with some subtle breaks.
